Responsibilities:
Quality Planning: Create and keep up Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Inspection Test Plans (ITP), and Quality Assurance (QA) plans for every stage of production.
Process Control: To spot variances and stop non-conformities before they happen, use Statistical Process Control (SPC) to keep an eye on production processes.
Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Use 8D, 5-Why, or Fishbone analysis to conduct investigations into product malfunctions or customer complaints in order to put long-term corrective measures in place.
Conduct routine internal process audits and oversee the process of getting ready for
external certifications such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or AS9100.
Supplier Quality Management: Make sure incoming components fulfill the necessary requirements by assessing and auditing raw material suppliers.
Gauge Calibration: To guarantee data accuracy, supervise the calibration and upkeep of all measuring devices and testing apparatus.
Required Skills:
Statistical Mastery: Expertise in Pareto analysis, Cp/Cpk (Process Capability) studies, and trend analysis using Minitab or Excel.
Methodologies: Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, APQP/PPAP (for automotive sectors), and Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt preferable).
Technical Reading: The capacity to decipher GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) symbols and intricate engineering drawings.
Problem solving methodical approach to troubleshooting that emphasizes making decisions based on evidence.
