Duties:
Lathe Machine Operation: To carry out a variety of machining tasks, set up and run manual or semi-automatic lathe machines.
Blueprint Reading: To comprehend measurements, tolerances, and finishing specifications, decipher technical drawings and symbols.
Tool Selection and Grinding: For particular materials, choose the appropriate cutting tools (Single Point Cutting Tools) and grind them to the necessary angles.
Precision Measurement: To confirm that parts fulfill specifications, use precision tools like bore gauges, micrometers, and Vernier calipers.
Machining Operations: Carry out necessary operations such as knurling, eccentric turning, straight turning, taper turning, and internal/external threading.
/>Machine Maintenance: To guarantee smooth operation and avoid malfunctions, clean, oil, and make small adjustments to the lathe every day.
Quality Check: Verify that the finished product is free of flaws like tool marks, burrs, or dimensional errors.
