Job Description
The operational aspect of quality, including the testing and inspection of raw materials, in-process components, and final products, is within the purview of the Quality Control (QC) Engineer. The QC Engineer concentrates on the product, making sure it satisfies the functional and physical requirements, in contrast to QA, which is concerned with the process. In order to keep defective items from reaching the client, this position entails controlling non-conforming materials, employing precise tools, and keeping thorough documentation.
Responsibilities
Inspection & Testing: Compare incoming materials and outgoing completed goods to technical drawings and checklists by performing functional, visual, and physical inspections.
Non-Conformance Management: Determine, mark, and separate faulty materials; start Material Review Board (MRB) proceedings; and supervise the disposal procedure.
Metrology & Calibration:
To guarantee measurement accuracy and traceability, oversee the calibration schedule for all measuring instruments.
Statistical sample: Use sample strategies to assess production batches' acceptability.
Documentation: For each production batch, create and keep thorough inspection reports, Test Certificates (TC), and quality logs.
Process Auditing: Keep an eye on the shop floor to make sure that workstations are using calibrated equipment and that operators are adhering to quality standards.
Skills:

understanding of industry-specific certifications and quality standards such as ISO 9001.
fundamental knowledge of material characteristics, metallurgy, and production techniques including machining and welding.
