Responsibilities:
Incoming Material Inspection: Compare raw materials and outsourced components to the Bill of Materials (BOM) and purchase specifications by conducting thorough sampling and testing.
In-Process Quality Control (IPQC): Perform hourly "Floor Audits" and routine "Line Clearance" to spot production irregularities early and stop large amounts of scrap.
Final Product Testing: Conduct 100% or AQL-based sampling of completed goods to verify their aesthetic finish, functional performance, and dimensional accuracy.
Metrology & Gauge Management: Make sure all equipment is within its calibration cycle and operate and maintain precise measuring instruments

(such as CMMs, profile projectors, micrometers, and height gauges).
Handling Non-Conforming Material (NCMR): Sort faulty materials right away, record non-conformances, and let the QA team decide if the parts should be "Reworked," "Scrapped," or "Accepted under Deviation."

Required Skills:
Expertise in deciphering intricate 2D and 3D engineering drawings, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) symbols, is required for blueprint reading.
Precision Measurement: Practical knowledge of a range of electrical and mechanical measuring devices.
Knowledge of Standards: Understanding of industry-specific quality standards and material standards (ASTM, DIN, JIS).
Observation Skills: The ability to identify surface flaws, burrs, or color irregularities that others might overlook.
Making Decisions: The assurance to "Stop the Line" when standards of quality are not being fulfilled.
