Protect Code of Conduct With The Role of a Quality Engineer
Job Description:
The Quality Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance protocols for the manufacturing process. This role focuses on "preventive" quality using statistical tools to analyze production data, performing root-cause analysis on failures, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and rejection rates. The goal is to ensure that every product leaving the facility meets both customer specifications and regulatory standards.
Key Duties:
Create and oversee Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), FMEA, and Control Plans as part of quality planning.
Process Control: Use Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods such as Capability
Analysis and Control Charts to keep an eye on production stability. Metrology & Inspection: To guarantee measurement system accuracy, supervise the calibration of measuring devices and carry out gauge R&R research.
Root Cause Analysis: Use tools like 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone Diagrams to conduct investigations into consumer complaints and internal non-conformities.
Audit & Compliance: To make sure that standards like ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 are being followed, conduct internal audits.
Supplier Quality: To guarantee high-quality raw material input, assess supplier performance and oversee Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCAR).
