Production Engineer Where Performance and Strategy Mix
Job Description
Managing and enhancing a facility's manufacturing processes is the responsibility of the production engineer. The effective conversion of raw materials into completed goods while upholding strict quality and safety standards is the main focus of this position. In order to maximize production cycles, minimize waste, and oversee the shop floor staff, the Production Engineer works at the nexus of people, equipment, and materials. A proactive problem-solver with a solid background in mechanical or industrial engineering and a dedication to continuous improvement (Lean/Kaizen) is the perfect applicant.

Responsibilities
Production Planning & Control: Make sure that labor, equipment, and supplies are used efficiently while carrying out the daily production schedule to achieve goals.
Process optimization involves locating assembly line bottlenecks and putting technical fixes in place to speed up cycles and cut down on "takt time."
Quality management: Keep an eye on

the product's quality throughout the production process and take corrective action to lower scrap and rejection rates.
Resource Management: Oversee technicians and shop floor operators while teaching them in safety practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Equipment Maintenance: Work with the maintenance crew to plan preventive maintenance (PM) to reduce unscheduled equipment downtime.
Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Use techniques like the "5 Whys" or "Fishbone Diagram" to look at production failures or safety accidents in order to stop them from happening again.

Skills:
Engineering Proficiency: A solid grasp of production procedures.
Analytical Thinking: Mastery of production metrics and data analysis.
Leadership: The capacity to oversee and inspire a diverse team in a manufacturing setting.
Software Proficiency: Knowledge of MS Excel for production reporting and ERP systems.
