Production Engineer Enhancing Role in Plant Organization
Job Description:
A vital link between design and delivery, the production engineer is in charge of managing and enhancing a plant's manufacturing procedures. Making sure that production goals are reached on schedule, within budget, and at the highest quality standards is your main goal. Planning production schedules, resolving equipment problems, and applying lean manufacturing practices to cut waste are all part of this job. The ideal applicant is a proactive leader who can oversee shop floor operations and concurrently analyze data to maximize the assembly line's overall efficiency.
Key Duties:
Process Planning and Execution: To optimize output and resource usage, create and implement production schedules and workflows.
Line Optimization: Examine production lines for bottlenecks, then apply "Kaizen" to improve cycle
times and lower "Takt Time."
Machine Maintenance Coordination: Work with maintenance teams to perform Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) while supervising the installation and upkeep of manufacturing equipment.
Waste Management: Keep an eye on production expenses and put plans in place to cut back on energy and material waste.
Lean & SixSigma Implementation: To make your workspace more orderly and productive, implement Lean manufacturing concepts like 5S, Just-In-Time, and Kanban.
Quality Oversight: Ensure that the production process consistently produces items within specified tolerances by closely collaborating with QA/QC teams.
Enforce stringent adherence to environmental legislation and occupational safety requirements on the shop floor.
