Full Description
Process Engineer in Injection Moulding (PED Role)
Job Description:
The PED Engineer in Injection Moulding is a highly technical position that focuses on the relationship between manufacturing efficiency, mold development, and product design. Designing and refining the "Moulding Window" is your main duty in order to guarantee steady, fast manufacture of plastic parts. By overseeing mold testing, establishing scientific molding parameters, and putting automation in place, you will direct the transfer of new goods from the research and development phase to the mass production floor. The ideal applicant is an expert in mechanical systems and polymer rheology who can use Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and advanced process validation to eliminate waste.
Key Duties:
Process Design & Optimization: To guarantee a reliable and repeatable production window, establish and record scientific molding procedures (6-Step Study).
Mould Trial Leadership:
Oversee T0 through T-Final trials for new molds; evaluate trial results to suggest process or tool changes.
Design for Manufacturing (DFM): To avoid manufacturing problems, evaluate product designs and offer technical input on wall thickness, draft angles, and gate placements.
Cycle Time Reduction: To cut cycle times by seconds without sacrificing part quality, perform time-motion studies and examine machine kinematics.
Automation and Tooling Integration: Create and deploy robot End-of-Arm Tooling (EOAT) and incorporate auxiliary devices such as slide core controllers or unscrewing units.
Draft and carry out Installation Qualification, Operational Qualification, and Performance Qualification procedures as part of Process Validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), particularly for automotive or medical components.
We invite you to apply and explore this exciting opportunity!
