Setup & Tooling: Using the setup sheet as a guide, choose and install the appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and attachments needed for a given task.
Blueprint Reading: To comprehend measurements and tolerances, decipher technical drawings

and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) symbols.
In-Process Inspection: Following each cycle, use precision measurement tools (such as bore gauges, vernier calipers, and micrometers) to confirm that the parts satisfy specifications.
Offsets & Adjustments: To account for tool wear or material changes, monitor machine output and modify tool offsets, speeds, or feeds.
Preventative Maintenance: To extend the life of equipment, clean the machine every day, check the coolant levels, and lubricate the moving parts.

Skills:
Technical literacy is the capacity to read and comprehend technical documents as well as G-code and M-code (basic comprehension).
