Maintenance Engineer Jobs Keep the Gears Turning
Job Description
Duties:
Preventive and Predictive Maintenance: To avoid equipment failure, perform planned maintenance on motors, generators, transformers, and control panels.
Troubleshooting and Repair: Identify and fix electrical problems with automated equipment, such as sensors, VFDs, and PLCs.
Power Distribution Management: Maintain a steady power supply to production lines by supervising the plant's power distribution system, which includes HT/LT panels, switchgear, and circuit breakers.
System Automation: To increase machine efficiency, change and update PLC programming and HMI settings.
Safety Compliance: Strictly enforce adherence to electrical safety regulations, such as the usage of the proper
arc-flash PPE and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols.
Spare Parts Management: To guarantee prompt availability during malfunctions, keep an inventory of essential electrical parts (fuses, contactors, and relays).
Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Look into significant electrical malfunctions and put long-term fixes in place to stop recurring problems.
Focus Skills:
strong familiarity in industrial automation (VFD, PLC, SCADA, and HMI).
ability to read and comprehend intricate schematics and diagrams of electrical circuits.
practical knowledge of testing instruments.
knowledge of statutory compliance and local electrical codes.
