Job Description
The maintenance engineer is in charge of all production machinery and plant equipment's ongoing functionality, dependability, and improvement. Your main goal is to balance preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance in order to reduce unscheduled downtime and maximize the lifespan of industrial assets. As a hands-on technical leader, you will oversee a group of specialists to guarantee that the manufacturing facility runs as efficiently as possible while abiding by stringent safety and environmental regulations. The ideal applicant is a multidisciplinary specialist who is adept in automation, electrical, and mechanical systems and who can resolve challenging technical issues under the demands of a live production setting.
Responsibilities
Preventive and Predictive Maintenance: To stop problems before they happen, create and carry out thorough maintenance plans based on machine hours, cycles, or condition-monitoring data.
Lead the quick response to equipment malfunctions and carry out root cause investigation to make sure the problem doesn't happen again.
Automation & PLC Troubleshooting: Find and fix issues
with PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and HMI panels, among other automated systems.
Mechanical and Hydraulic Systems: Manage the upkeep and repair of hydraulic power units, gearboxes, pumps, and pneumatic circuits.
Spare Parts & Inventory Management: To guarantee prompt availability in an emergency, keep a vital stock of long-lead and high-wear spare parts.
Energy & Utility Monitoring: To find ways to save energy and save operating expenses, monitor the performance of compressors, boilers, and motors.
Skills:
Technical expertise across many disciplines: ability to understand mechanical blueprints, hydraulic schematics, and electrical SLDs.
Diagnostic Instruments: Able to use multimeters, vibration analysis instruments, and infrared thermography.
Project management: The capacity to schedule and carry out significant plant shutdowns or machine overhauls within predetermined time constraints.
Soft Skills: Capable of communicating technical concerns to non-technical management and demonstrating strong leadership in managing technical workers.
