Using specialist arc welding equipment, the MIG Welder (Metal Inert Gas) joins metal components to form long-lasting, high-strength structures. Creating clean, accurate welds, mostly on steel, aluminum, or stainless steel, while closely following safety regulations and designs is your main task. You will control wire speeds and gas flows, operate semi-automatic welding machines, and make sure each bead satisfies quality standards for structural integrity. A competent tradesperson with
a steady hand, keen spatial awareness, and a thorough understanding of welding procedures and metal qualities is the ideal candidate.
Key Skills:
Technical Mastery: Demonstrated proficiency with gas metal arc welding (GMAW) tools and procedures.
Measurement accuracy: The capacity to confirm dimensions using calipers, squares, and tape measures.
Physical Strength: The capacity to lift large metal plates and endure prolonged discomfort from bending or crawling.
Excellent hand-eye coordination is necessary to maintain constant weld beads and speed.
