Job Description
Duties:
3D Modeling & Assembly: Use SolidWorks to create intricate 3D components and large-scale assemblies while making sure that mating and interference checks are done correctly.
2D Drafting & Detailing: Produce accurate 2D production drawings with BOMs, technical notations, and thorough Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Design for Manufacturing (DFM): Examine and improve designs to make sure they can be manufactured effectively using casting, sheet metal fabrication, injection molding, or CNC machining.
Sheet Metal & Weldments: To design sheet metal components, such as flat patterns, bend allowances, and welded structural frames, use specific SolidWorks modules.
Simulation & Analysis: To test stress, strain,

and factor of safety on important components, do Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using SolidWorks Simulation.
Product Data Management (PDM): To guarantee data integrity and teamwork, use SolidWorks PDM to manage file versions, revisions, and design workflows.

Focus Skills:
Software Mastery: Expertise in PDM systems and SolidWorks (CSWP or CSWA certification desirable).
Manufacturing Knowledge: Good understanding of surface treatments, material selection, and machining procedures.
GD&T expertise: in-depth knowledge of ASME Y14.5 technical communication standards.
Problem Solving: The capacity to identify structural flaws and mechanical interference in a virtual setting.
