Jr Engineer Strengthening Plant Maintenance Abilities
Job Description
Experience: 0 to 3 yrs
Salary: Based on Company Norms
Education: Diploma/BE in Mech or Related Streams
Location: In And Around Chennai
Your Duties:
Preventive Maintenance: Execute scheduled maintenance tasks such as lubrication, filter changes, and belt adjustments according to the preventive maintenance calendar.
Breakdown Support: Assist senior engineers in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic failures on the shop floor to restore production quickly.
Routine Inspections: Conduct daily "TPM" checks and machine health monitoring to identify potential issues like unusual vibrations or leaks before they cause a failure.
Spare Parts Coordination: Maintain the tool crib and inventory of critical spares; assist in identifying and ordering components required for repairs.
Utility Management:
Monitor and maintain plant utilities, including air compressors, cooling towers, and DG sets.
Safety & 5S: Ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely using LOTO procedures and maintain a clean, organized maintenance workshop.
Documentation: Record all maintenance activities, machine downtime, and spare parts usage in the logbooks or the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
