Job Description:
In charge of installing, maintaining, and repairing intricate industrial apparatus, the service engineer serves as the company's main technical liaison with its clients. It is your responsibility to use professional troubleshooting and onsite support to guarantee optimal equipment uptime and customer satisfaction. To commission new equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and fix serious malfunctions within short timeframes, you will visit client locations. The ideal applicant is a practical mechanical or electrical specialist who enjoys working in a field setting, has excellent communication skills, and can convert challenging technical problems into solutions the client can use.
Key Duties
Installation & Commissioning: Oversee the on-site configuration, assembling, and testing of new production machinery to make sure it satisfies customer and factory needs.
Diagnostic & Repair: Use
technical manuals and diagnostic instruments to quickly restore machine performance by troubleshooting complicated mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
Preventive Maintenance: To avoid expensive unscheduled downtime, carry out planned service contracts to check, lube, and calibrate machines.
Technical Training: Teach maintenance crews and customer operators how to operate the equipment safely and effectively, including the fundamentals of daily maintenance.
Field Reporting: Use Field Service Management (FSM) software to record all service operations, including thorough explanations of issues, components used, and time spent.
Customer relationship management: Serve as a brand representative by offering knowledgeable guidance on machine replacements or upgrades to assist customers in streamlining their manufacturing processes.
