Full Description
Join a set of Scientific Pioneers as Electronics Technician
Job Description
Duties:
Component-Level Repair: Use hot-air rework equipment and high-precision soldering stations to locate and repair defective surface-mount (SMD) and through-hole components.
Diagnostic Testing: Measure voltage, current, and signal integrity using lab equipment, then compare the results to technical schematics.
PCB Assembly & Prototyping: Using engineering drawings and the Bill of Materials (BOM), assemble "First Article" printed circuit boards.
Schematic Interpretation: Trace signal lines and locate possible failure areas by reading and navigating intricate electronic circuit schematics.
Alignment and Calibration: To guarantee that electronic equipment function within predetermined limits, calibrate and adjust them.
Firmware flashing involves
utilizing specialized programming hardware to upload and validate software or firmware onto microcontrollers or EPROMs.
Preventive Maintenance: Regularly inspect industrial electronic systems for indications of connector corrosion, heat stress, or capacitor leakage.
Focus Skills:
Soldering Mastery: Excellent skills in IPC-standard soldering (through-hole, BGA rework, and fine-pitch SMD).
Proficiency in using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and function generators.
Manual dexterity: The capacity to handle small parts and spend a lot of time using microscopes.
Analytical Problem Solving: The capacity to distinguish between hardware and software problems by using logical fault-finding trees.
