Your Duties:
CAM Programming: Use applications like Mastercam, Delcam (PowerMill), or Siemens NX to create 3-axis and 4-axis (Rotary/Indexing) programs for VMC machines.
Tooling Selection: Determine the ideal feeds and speeds based on material hardness and machine rigidity; select the best end mills, face mills, drills, and taps for particular tasks.
Fixture create: To guarantee part stability and multi-part "tombstone" or "vice" configurations, conceptualize and create unique work-holding solutions.
G-Code Optimization: Create and manually "scrub" G-code to guarantee efficient canned cycles and smooth machine movements.
/>Simulation & Collision Check: To find and stop tool crashes or fixture interference, run full-scale virtual simulations of the machining process.
Setup Sheet Creation: Give the workshop comprehensive setup guidelines that include tool inventories, locations for datums (work offsets), and specialized operator notes.
