Job Description
Duties:
Design & Prototyping: Use CAD software to produce intricate 2D and 3D models of mechanical parts and assemblies.
Stress & Thermal Analysis: To forecast how designs will respond to actual forces, heat, and vibration, use Finite Element Analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics.
Material Selection: Examine and choose suitable materials according to their weight, cost-effectiveness, and mechanical characteristics.
Support for Manufacturing: Work together with the production team to create manufacturing procedures, such as assembly line optimization, CNC programming, and tool design.
Testing & Validation: Create prototypes and do experimental testing on them to make sure they satisfy safety regulations and performance requirements.
Troubleshooting
and problem-solving: Identify issues with current mechanical systems and make design changes to increase performance and dependability.
Technical Documentation: Keep thorough project records, such as operating manuals, Bill of Materials (BOM), and technical drawings.
Focus Skills:
Technical Mastery: Proficient use of simulation tools (ANSYS/Abaqus) and 3D modeling software (SolidWorks/NX).
Mathematical accuracy: solid foundation in advanced physics, trigonometry, and calculus.
Knowledge of Standards: An understanding of industry standards and codes, including ISO, ASME, and ASTM.
Communication: The capacity to clarify difficult technical ideas for clients and stakeholders who are not engineers.
