Job Description
Duties:
Circuit troubleshooting involves finding malfunctioning resistors, capacitors, transistors, and integrated circuits (ICs) in order to diagnose and fix electronic equipment at the component level.
PCB Assembly & Repair: Fix damaged traces and pads on PCBs; precisely solder and desolder Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Through-Hole components.
Testing and Calibration: To test circuit performance and calibrate devices to standard specifications, use multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
Prototype Development: Help engineers construct and test stripboard or breadboard prototypes for new or modified electronic designs.
Schematic Interpretation: To comprehend system flow and signal routes, read and analyze
intricate electronic schematics, logic diagrams, and wiring harnesses.
System Installation: In commercial or industrial settings, install and set up electronic systems, such as sensors, control modules, and communication devices.
Focus Skills:
Precision Soldering: Proficiency in BGA (Ball Grid Array) component rework and microsoldering under a microscope.
Diagnostic logic is the ability to follow signal loss or power outages through a circuit using a methodical methodology.
Component Knowledge: A solid grasp of the datasheets for both active and passive electronic components.
Detail-oriented: Working with intricate wiring and microscopic parts requires a high level of focus.
