Job Description
A competent technical specialist, the ITI Fitter is in charge of assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of industrial machinery and mechanical components. Making ensuring that every component fits together precisely in accordance with technical drawings and standards is your main task. You will serve as the "mechanic of the shop floor," shaping, filing, and joining metal components with hand tools and power equipment. The ideal applicant possesses the patience needed to achieve flawless alignment and performance in intricate assemblies, as well as a strong mechanical aptitude and a thorough understanding of metal characteristics.
Key Duties:
Mechanical Assembly: Use brazing, welding, or fasteners to fit and assemble parts for engines, machinery, and other equipment.
Analyze technical
drawings, blueprints, and sketches to ascertain dimensions and assembly procedures.
Metalworking: To cut and shape metal items to exact sizes, use machine tools (drills, grinders, lathes) and hand tools (files, chisels, saws).
Verify that parts satisfy precise tolerances by using precision measuring tools such as dial gauges, micrometers, and Vernier calipers.
Maintenance and Repair: Find mechanical issues with industrial machinery and fix them by remachining or replacing worn-out parts.
Marking & Layout: Use punches and scribers to precisely mark raw materials so that drilling and cutting operations can be carried out.
Tapping & Drilling: To get parts ready for assembly, perform accurate tapping, reaming, and drilling operations.
