Job Description
Duties:
Surface Finish Inspection: Perform visual and instrumental examinations to discover defects such as orange peel, pinholes, dust inclusions, or sagging.
Color and Gloss Measurement: To guarantee that color matching (Delta E) and gloss levels stay within stringent customer requirements, use spectrophotometers and gloss meters.
Coating Thickness Verification: Use Dry Film Thickness (DFT) gauges to confirm paint coats reach the specified micron levels for durability.
Chemical Lab Analysis: To guarantee ideal surface preparation, keep an eye on and regulate the chemical parameters of pretreatment and CED tanks.
Performance Testing: Perform both destructive and non-destructive testing, such as pencil hardness, salt spray, and cross-hatch adhesion
tests.
Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Use 8D or 5-Why methodology to conduct investigations into quality failures to determine whether problems are caused by the environment, equipment, or material.
Focus Skills:
Technical Knowledge: A thorough comprehension of the chemistry involved in liquid painting, powder coating, or CED procedures.
Proficiency with instruments: proficient use of spectrophotometers, gloss meters, DFT gauges, and lab testing apparatus.
Analytical Thinking: Proficiency with quality tools (Fishbone diagrams, Pareto charts) and SPC (Statistical Process Control).
Attention to Detail: Ability to notice minute surface differences that could damage long-term product integrity.
