Expertise for Manufacturing Maintenance Milling Engineer
Job Description
Setting up and running manual, vertical, and universal milling machines is the responsibility of the milling engineer, a precision machining specialist. Producing flat, curved, and geared surfaces with high accuracy on a variety of metal and plastic workpieces is your main task. A thorough "tactile" understanding of metal cutting is necessary for this position, in contrast to automated CNC positions; one must be able to modify feed and speed based on the color of the chips and the tool's sound. Keyways, slots, pockets, and intricate gear teeth are all expertly created by you, frequently with tolerances as small as 10–20 microns.

Responsibilities
Set up and run both horizontal and vertical milling machines to do drilling, slotting, facing, and end-milling.
To precisely index workpieces for cutting gears, splines, and hexagonal forms, use a dividing head or rotary table.
Depending on the material and operation, choose and install the proper cutters, such as involute gear cutters,

end mills, face mills, and side-and-face cutters.
To determine coordinates, cut depth, and necessary machining sequences, interpret engineering drawings.
To guarantee dimensional accuracy, do routine in-process inspections with Vernier calipers, micrometers, slip gauges, and dial indicators.
Use specialized tools such as V-blocks, angle plates, T-bolts, and milling vises to secure workpieces.
Keep the machine accurate by cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting the lead screws' "Backlash" every day.

Skills:
The ability to arrange intricate machining sequences and visualize 3D objects from 2D drawings.
Calculating angles, tapers, and gear PCD (Pitch Circle Diameter) requires a solid understanding of trigonometry.
High-Speed Steel (HSS) cutters can be sharpened or touched up using a pedestal grinder.
High accuracy in hand-wheel control to sustain a constant feed rate for an excellent surface finish.

We invite you to apply and explore this exciting opportunity!
Warm Regards,
