Job Description
The dual-skilled E&I technician is in charge of maintaining, adjusting, and fixing precise electronic instrumentation as well as electrical power systems. Your main task is to make sure the manufacturing plant's "brawn" (motors and actuators) and "brains" (sensors and controls) are precisely in sync. You will work with everything from sensitive pressure transmitters to high-voltage switchgear, making sure that automated operations operate precisely and safely. A meticulous troubleshooter who can calibrate a digital flow meter with ease and navigate a complex wiring cabinet is the ideal choice.
Key Duties:
To guarantee process accuracy, calibrate sensors, transmitters, and transducers on a regular basis.
Electrical maintenance includes checking and fixing variable frequency drives
(VFDs), low-voltage distribution panels, motors, and starters.
Help troubleshoot Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) by examining I/O modules and signal loops.
Loop Testing: Run "Loop Checks" to confirm that a field instrument's signal accurately reaches the control room's HMI.
Maintain the I/P converters, positioners, and actuators that regulate the production line's valves and dampers in pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Preventative Maintenance: Complete planned E&I maintenance to prolong the life of electrical assets and avoid unplanned equipment downtime.
Breakdown Troubleshooting: Quickly identify and address electrical issues or instrument drifts that cause production to halt.
