Job Description
The manufacturing company and its customers rely heavily on the service engineer. Providing professional technical support, installation, and maintenance for industrial machinery at the client's location is your key responsibility. You are a "field specialist" who visits different places to make sure the sold equipment is functioning at its best. This position calls for a special combination of technical know-how, problem-solving abilities, and superior customer service. A self-sufficient individual with the ability to identify intricate mechanical or electrical problems under pressure while keeping solid customer connections is the ideal candidate.
Responsibilities
Installation and Commissioning: Oversee the complete setup of new equipment at client locations, making sure that it is integrated and calibrated in accordance with technical requirements.
On-Site Troubleshooting: To reduce customer downtime, identify and fix mechanical, electrical, or software-related issues during emergency breakdown visits.
Preventive Maintenance (PM): To increase the equipment's lifespan, carry out planned service contracts to check, lubricate,
and replace worn components.
Customer Training: Provide practical instruction on machine operation, safety procedures, and fundamental daily maintenance to customer operators and maintenance teams.
Technical Reporting: Following each visit, create thorough service reports that include the work completed, items changed, and suggestions for upcoming improvements.
replacement Parts Management: Help the sales team generate money through parts and service contracts by identifying and recommending necessary replacement parts to customers.
Skills:
The ability to understand mechanical blueprints, hydraulic schematics, and electrical circuit diagrams.
Diagnostic Capability: Using specialist diagnostic tools and software, one can apply strong logical reasoning to determine the underlying cause of failures.
Interpersonal Skills: The capacity to handle irate clients with composure and professionalism during crucial machine malfunctions.
Travel Readiness: Excellent adaptability and endurance for frequent, last-minute trips, frequently to far-flung industrial sites.
