Responsibilities:
Tool Design & Development: Using component drawings as a guide, create new tools, molds, and fixtures that are optimized for longevity and use.
Tool Assembly and Fitting: To guarantee ideal alignment of moving parts, assemble intricate multi-part tools using precise "blue matching" and fitting.
Maintenance and Refurbishment: To reduce production downtime, do preventative maintenance on current equipment and oversee the repair of damaged dies or molds.
Trial & Troubleshooting: Oversee "T1/T2" tool trials
on the manufacturing floor, spotting output flaws and modifying the tooling to provide the required part dimensions.
Heat Treatment Coordination: Oversee the tool steel heat treatment procedure to attain the necessary wear resistance and hardness.
Quality Inspection: Check tool dimensions against engineering plans using precise measuring tools.
Required Skills:
Technical Proficiency: In-depth understanding of the characteristics of tool steels (H13, D2, P20).
Machining Skills: Practical knowledge of both manual toolroom equipment and CNC programming.
Blueprint Reading: The capacity to decipher GD&T symbols and intricate 2D/3D engineering designs.
Problem Solving: The capacity to identify production flaws in tools and put long-term solutions in place.
Experience: 0 to 3 yrs
