The future of precision manufacturing depends on optimal asset performance and predictive tooling care. The role of the Tool Room Maintenance Engineer is crucial, evolving into a key specialist who manages the health of high-precision equipment (CNC, EDM, Grinding) and specialized tooling (molds, dies), leveraging CMMS and advanced diagnostics to achieve near-zero unplanned downtime and maintain micron-level accuracy.
Desired Outcomes:
You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) schedules for all Tool Room machinery.
Your expertise in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and CNC control system troubleshooting, your ability to perform precision alignment and calibration, and your strong knowledge of tooling refurbishment, welding, and heat treatment will be crucial. You will utilize a CMMS to manage spare parts inventory, track maintenance history, and drive continuous improvements that extend equipment life and maintain machining accuracy.
Experience: 3 to 7 yrs
