Engineer Research and Hold Charge in Modern Tool Design
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Tooling Design: Create comprehensive 3D models and 2D detailed drawings for injection moulds, press tools, or die-casting dies using software like NX, Catia, or SolidWorks.
Design for Manufacturing (DFM): Conduct DFM analysis to identify potential manufacturing issues early in the design phase, suggesting modifications to improve tool life and reduce cycle time.
Mechanism Design: Design complex tool mechanisms, including sliders, lifters, cam-actuated systems, and ejection systems for intricate part geometries.
Simulation & Analysis: Perform flow simulations or FEA to predict tool behavior, thermal expansion, and potential failure points.
Material Selection: Specify appropriate tool steels and heat treatment processes based on the production volume and material
being processed.
Standardization: Utilize and maintain standard part libraries to ensure design consistency and ease of maintenance.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Tool Room team during the fabrication phase to provide technical support and resolve design-related assembly issues.
Experience: 0 to 3 yrs
Education: Diploma/BE in Mech
