Engineer Persistent Production Development
Job Description
In order to guarantee optimal productivity, quality, and efficiency, the Production Engineer is in charge of monitoring and enhancing a plant's manufacturing procedures. By managing labor resources, optimizing shop floor layouts, and putting lean manufacturing principles into practice, this position serves as a link between design and finished production. A proactive leader with the ability to troubleshoot production bottlenecks in real-time while strictly focusing on cost reduction, safety, and fulfilling daily production targets is the ideal candidate.

Responsibilities
Production Planning & Control (PPC): Implement daily production plans to guarantee timely delivery while maximizing the use of machinery and labor.
Process Optimization: Use Lean Manufacturing techniques like 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping to find and remove "Muda" (waste) in the production process.
Workflow Design: To reduce material handling and bottlenecking, create and implement effective shop floor layouts

and assembly lines.
Resource Management: Oversee operators and manufacturing workers and instruct them in safety procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Standardization: To establish consistent production times, create and maintain Work Instructions and Time & Motion studies.
Troubleshooting: On the shop floor, offer prompt technical assistance to fix machine issues or process deviations that stop production.

Skills:
Technical literacy is the ability to read technical specifications, BOMs (Bills of Materials), and engineering designs.
Software Knowledge: familiarity with MS Excel for production tracking and ERP/MRP systems (such as SAP or Oracle).
Analytical Thinking: The capacity to decipher production data in order to spot patterns and opportunities for development.
Leadership: The ability to inspire and lead diverse shop floor teams through strong interpersonal skills.
