Full Description
Engineer Innovate and Take the Lead in Modern Tool Design
Job Description
Experience: 0 to 4 yrs
Salary: Based on Previous Experience
Challenges:
Digital prototyping, mould flow simulation, and multi-cavity, high-efficiency equipment that incorporates automation readiness are all quickly moving forward in the injection moulding sector. Tool Design Engineers that are experts in precision CAD, material science, and DFM (Design for Manufacturability) are needed in the future. These engineers must be able to create intricate, long-lasting moulds that produce parts with zero defects under high pressure and incredibly fast cycle times. Our goal is to become the industry leader in long-lasting, high-performing injection moulds.
What you will do:
utilising specialised CAD software to design high-precision injection moulds (single-cavity, multi-cavity, hot runner, cold runner), guaranteeing ideal mould structure,
cooling systems, venting, and ejection mechanisms.
Before cutting steel, the design is iteratively improved by using Mould Flow Analysis (MFA) and other modelling approaches to forecast and optimise filling, cooling, and warpage characteristics.
working closely with Product Development to ensure that complex geometries can be moulded in a reliable and economical manner by applying Design for Mouldability (DFM) principles to new parts.
Overseeing the mould trials (FAT/SAT), developing comprehensive technical requirements for tool builders, and managing the mould procurement/build process to guarantee successful commissioning and CpK (Process Capability) attainment.
Leading design changes and enhancements for current tools to minimise flash/short shots, increase mould life, and decrease cycle time
We invite you to apply and explore this exciting opportunity!
Warm Regards,
