Engage a Crew of Scientific Explorers as an Electronics Technician
Job Description
Duties:
Assembly & Soldering: Using high-precision soldering techniques, assemble electronic components, sub-assemblies, and systems according to schematics and assembly drawings.
Testing and Validation: To make sure electronic boards and systems fulfill performance requirements, conduct functional tests on them.
Component-Level Troubleshooting: Use diagnostic instruments like oscilloscopes and multimeters to locate and replace malfunctioning integrated circuits, capacitors, and transistors.
Prototype Support: Help engineers construct and test prototypes, modifying breadboards or prototype PCBs as needed.
Repair & Rework: Make sure that repaired boards are up to the original manufacturing quality by doing Surface Mount Device (SMD) and Through-Hole rework.
Calibration:
Regularly calibrate test equipment and electronic instruments to ensure measurements are accurate and compatible with standards.
Wiring and Cabling: Make and install point-to-point wiring and custom cable harnesses for electronic enclosures.
Focus Skills:
Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics, BOMs, and technical manuals.
Manual dexterity: proficiency with hand tools (such as wire strippers and crimpers) and hand soldering, including fine-pitch components.
Diagnostic Skills: The ability to operate electronic test devices like logic analyzers, power supplies, and signal generators.
Attention to Detail: Accurately identifying minor parts and adhering to rigorous assembly procedures.
