Responsibilities:
Machine Setup: In accordance with the setup sheet, load the machine with raw materials and install the necessary cutting tools, collets, and fixtures.
Operation & Monitoring: Turn on the machine and keep an eye on the cutting process to make sure everything goes as planned. If needed, change the coolant flow or speeds/feeds.
Quality Control: To ensure that the first-off and in-process parts fulfill blueprint tolerances, use precision measuring tools such as thread gauges, Vernier calipers, and micrometers.
Reading blueprints: Decipher technical
drawings and GD&T symbols to determine the necessary surface finishes and dimensions.
Tool management: Keep an eye on tool wear and swap out worn-out inserts or damaged drills. As tools deteriorate, perform "tool offsets" to preserve dimensional accuracy.
Basic Troubleshooting: Perform routine daily cleaning and recognize and notify the maintenance crew of any machine alarms or mechanical problems.
Required Skills:
Technical aptitude is the capacity to read and comprehend 2D drawings and mechanical blueprints.
Quantification Precision: Excellent proficiency with portable measurement devices.
Physical stamina: The capacity to move large objects (up to 15-20 kg) and stand for extended periods of time.
Basic Math: To calculate offsets, have a solid grasp of decimals and fundamental geometry.
Experience: 0 to 3 yrs
