Job Description
Your Impact:
To join our precision manufacturing team in Chennai, we are looking for a CNC operator with experience and attention to detail. In order to produce high-quality parts in accordance with engineering drawings and standards, the CNC Operator will be in charge of configuring, running, and overseeing Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up CNC machines (milling, turning, etc.) according to job specifications, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
Load and edit CNC programs under the guidance of programmers.
Identify and report any machine malfunctions or deviations from specifications to the supervisor or maintenance team.
Maintain accurate records of machine settings, tooling used, and production output.
Perform regular quality checks
on machined parts according to quality control plans.
Maintain a clean and organized work area around the CNC machines.
What you Need:
Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, including tolerances.
Proficiency in using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators) commonly used in Chennai workshops.
Strong knowledge of CNC machine operations and setup procedures relevant to common controls used in Chennai (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain).
Understanding of G-code and M-code programming (basic to intermediate level, familiarity with local programming conventions is an advantage).
Educational Qualification: 8th, 10th,12th or Above
