E&I Supervisor Where Command and Wiring Clash
Job Description
Duties:
Team Leadership & Scheduling: Oversee a group of E&I technicians by scheduling shifts, assigning daily work orders, and carrying out performance reviews.
Maintenance Planning: Create and manage Predictive Maintenance (PdM) and Preventive Maintenance (PM) strategies for important electrical and instrument equipment.
Critical Troubleshooting: When complicated system failures involving PLCs, DCS, or high-voltage distribution occur, offer the team professional technical assistance.
Safety Management: Strictly enforce compliance with hazardous area rules (ATEX/IECEx), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and Permit to Work (PTW) systems.
Calibration Compliance: Verify that the documentation satisfies ISO and regulatory audit criteria and that all
process instruments are calibrated on time.
Budget and Inventory: To reduce downtime, oversee the E&I maintenance budget and make sure essential spare parts (sensors, breakers, and valves) are constantly available.
Focus Skills:
Technical Depth: Proficiency in process instrumentation (loop tuning, PID, HART) and electrical power systems (HT/LT).
Supervisory Skills: Demonstrated capacity to inspire a technical team and settle disputes at work.
Analytical Tools: Mastery of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) such as Maximo or SAP PM.
Communication: The capacity to convey intricate technological matters to plant managers who lack technical expertise.
