E&I Supervisor Allowing Integrity in All Interfaces
Job Description
All of the facility's electrical and instrumentation systems must be installed, maintained, and repaired under the supervision of the E&I Supervisor. This position ensures that power distribution, control systems, and field instruments function at maximum efficiency and safety by bridging the gap between engineering designs and field implementation. A hands-on leader with extensive technical knowledge of delicate electronic instrumentation (PLC/DCS) and high-voltage electrical systems who is committed to reducing downtime through skilled team management and strict safety compliance is the ideal candidate.
Responsibilities
Field Supervision: Oversee a group of contractors and professionals in carrying out routine maintenance, calibration, and emergency repairs.
Instrumentation Calibration: Use Hart Communicators and master calibrators to oversee the accurate calibration of field instruments.
Electrical System Oversight: Oversee the upkeep of motors, transformers, HT/LT switchgear, and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) to guarantee a steady
supply of electricity.
Control System Integration: To guarantee process automation stability, assist with PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) and DCS (Distributed Control Systems) maintenance and troubleshooting.
Loop Testing & Commissioning: Oversee functional tests and loop checks for new installations, making sure that signals are accurately transmitted from the field to the control center.
Preventive Maintenance Planning: To minimize reactive maintenance and increase equipment longevity, create and update maintenance schedules for all E&I assets.
Skills:
strong proficiency in reading electrical single line diagrams (SLD) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
ability to diagnose industrial communication protocols (Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus, Modbus).
practical knowledge of testing apparatus (loop calibrators, meggers, and multimeters).
demonstrated leadership abilities and the capacity to oversee a variety of technical teams and contractors.
