Job Description
Who you are:
Compare authorized designs with actual electrical and instrumentation work, such as cable tray routing, glanding, termination, and instrument mounting. Check for damage or non-compliance while confirming that all arriving E&I materials (cables, transmitters, switchgear) meet the Purchase Order (PO) and Material Test Reports (MTR). Be present for important tests that guarantee circuit integrity, such as continuity, high potential (Hi-Pot), and insulation resistance (meggering). Before commissioning, make sure that all calibration certifications, P&ID check sheets, and loop diagrams are accurately documented by checking "Loop Folders" for accuracy.
Verify that flameproof (Ex d) or intrinsically safe (Ex i) protections are installed and maintained correctly by inspecting "Ex" rated equipment in explosive environments.
