Your Duties:
Precision Welding: Perform excellent TIG welds on a range of joint positions and designs.
Blueprint Interpretation: To ascertain the necessary weld size and configuration, read and comprehend technical drawings, weld symbols, and specifications.
Metal Preparation: To guarantee the best possible weld penetration and avoid contamination, clean, grind, and prep workpieces using saws, grinders, or chemical agents.
Equipment Setup: Assemble and adjust welding machinery, making sure to choose the right tungsten electrode, amperage, and gas flow rates.
Heat Management: To avoid warping, burn-through, or distortion, particularly on thin
materials, regulate the weld puddle and the heat-affected zone.
Visually check completed welds for typical flaws such as porosity, undercut, or incomplete fusion as part of the quality inspection process.
Filler Rod Selection: Select the appropriate filler wire according to the project specifications and the qualities of the base metal.
