Job Description
To add to our machining team in Chennai, we are looking for a diligent and talented VMC Setter. The precise and effective setup of our Vertical Machining Centres will be your responsibility. This includes making sure that the right equipment, fixturing, and program loading are in place to enable the production of high-quality components in accordance with technical specifications.
Responsibilities
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to understand machining requirements and setup specifications.
Select, install, and precisely align cutting tools in the VMC spindle according to tool lists and program requirements.
Document setup procedures, tool offsets, and work coordinates accurately.
Collaborate with CNC programmers and operators to ensure smooth
and efficient machining operations.
Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area around the VMC.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members regarding setup status and any challenges.
Skills:
Strong understanding of machining principles and setup procedures for Vertical Machining Centers.
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Proficiency in using various precision measuring instruments.
Knowledge of different cutting tools and their applications in vertical machining.
Educational Qualification: 10th, 12th, or ITI
Experience: 3+ yrs
