Job Description
Are you a skilled VMC Setter based in Chennai with a strong understanding of machining processes and a commitment to ensuring precise and efficient machine setups for quality production?
Join our established manufacturing team in Chennai as a VMC Setter and play a crucial role in setting up and preparing our Vertical Machining Centers for optimal performance. Responsibilities:
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to understand machining requirements.
Set up Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs) according to specifications, including installing and aligning fixtures, vices, and other workholding devices.
Select, install, and adjust appropriate cutting tools, tool
holders, and inserts as per the machining program and material requirements.
Input and adjust machine offsets and parameters to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
Perform trial runs and make necessary adjustments to achieve first-piece quality and adherence to specifications.
Inspect first-off parts using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify accuracy.
Qualification:
Proficiency in using various precision measuring instruments.
Hands-on experience with tool selection, installation, and adjustment.
Knowledge of different workholding methods and their application.
Basic understanding of CNC programming (G-codes) is a plus.
Education: Any ITI/ Diploma Graduation
Experience: 1 to 3 yrs
