Job Description
Duties:
Component-Level Troubleshooting: Find issues with electronic circuits and assemblies at the level of individual components, such as ICs, resistors, and capacitors.
PCB Assembly & Repair: Solder and desolder components using through-hole and surface mount technologies with extreme precision.
Testing & Calibration: To confirm system performance, use diagnostic tools including digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers.
Support for Prototypes: Help engineers construct and test "first-run" electronic assemblies and breadboard prototypes while offering input on their viability for manufacturing.
Schematic Interpretation: To comprehend circuit flow, read and analyze intricate electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Installing
firmware involves utilizing specialized programming tools to upload and configure software or firmware onto microcontrollers and embedded systems.
Preventive Maintenance: To avoid dust, heat, or vibration-related failures, regularly inspect and clean electronic control systems.
Focus Skills:
Technical Dexterity: Outstanding soldering abilities, including familiarity with rework stations and fine-pitch components.
Analytical Thinking: The capacity to logically locate failure areas and follow signals via a circuit.
Tool Proficiency: Proficiency with electronic test bench equipment and hand tools (crimpers, wire strippers).
Safety Knowledge: Knowledge of high-voltage safety and electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection procedures.
