Job Description:
A technical leader, the production engineer is in charge of managing the manufacturing process and making sure that goods are produced effectively, safely, and to the highest standards of quality. Your main responsibility is to serve as the "Bridge" between design and delivery, streamlining production lines to minimize waste and increase output. You are a problem-solver who keeps an eye on the performance of machinery, applies Lean techniques, and quickly resolves technical bottlenecks. The ideal applicant is a practical engineer who possesses both the leadership abilities required to oversee a shop floor team and a thorough understanding of mechanical and industrial systems.
Key Duties
Process Optimization: To cut "cycle time" and save operating expenses, design and implement effective production processes.
Production Planning: Work together
with the planning team to establish daily, weekly, and monthly production goals and guarantee labor and raw material availability.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Determine and fix production line technical problems; manage Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to avoid unscheduled equipment downtime.
Quality Assurance: Use Statistical Process Control (SPC) to monitor production quality and make sure all manufactured units adhere to stringent engineering specifications.
Lean Manufacturing: To reduce "Muda" (waste) and improve workflow, implement Lean and Six Sigma concepts (5S, Kaizen, Kanban).
Safety and Compliance: Make sure all machinery is operated in accordance with company and legal standards by enforcing stringent Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) rules on the floor.
