Responsibilities:
Machine Configuration: Choose and install the appropriate fixtures, chucks, and work-holding devices by interpreting setup sheets and tool lists.
Tooling Preparation: Assemble and calibrate cutting tools; use on-machine probes or pre-setters to adjust tool diameter and length offsets.
Program loading and verification: To verify for possible crashes or interference, upload G-code/M-code programs to the machine controller and run "dry runs" or single-block executions.
initial-Off permission: To obtain Quality department permission, run the initial section of a fresh
batch and conduct a thorough inspection against the technical drawing.
Process Optimization: To maximize cycle times and prolong tool life, adjust spindle speeds, feed rates, and coolant flow during setup.
Troubleshooting: Before giving the machine to the operator, identify and fix any problems with the part's size, surface polish, or tool chatter.
Required Skills:
Technical Mastery: Proficiency with Fanuc, Haas, or Siemens controllers; advanced knowledge of G-code and M-code.
Precision Measurement: Skilled application of all metrology tools, such as shadowgraphs, air gauges, and CMM reports.
Tooling Knowledge: in-depth knowledge of various material insert geometries, coating kinds, and carbide grades.
Spatial Logic: Outstanding capacity to see three-dimensional movements and spot possible tool path collisions.
Experience: 3 to 6 yrs
