Full Description
CNC Programmer Your Script Is the First Path to Quality
Job Description
Duties:
CAM Programming: Use applications like Mastercam, SolidCAM, Fusion 360, or NX to create multi-axis (3, 4, and 5-axis) programs for CNC mills, lathes, and turn-mill centers.
Toolpath Optimization: Create effective machining techniques (such as trochoidal milling and high-speed machining) to cut down on cycle times and save wear on costly cutting tools.
Process Planning: Establish the order of steps, choose suitable cutting instruments, and create unique fixtures or work-holding solutions for intricate geometries.
Simulation and Verification: To find possible crashes, gouges, or interference before the code reaches the shop floor, run full machine simulations (using Vericut or integrated CAM simulators).
Post-Processor
Management: Set up and debug "Post-Processors" to guarantee that the CAM output is structured correctly for particular machine controllers.
Focus Skills:
Software Mastery: The ability to use at least one industry-standard CAM program at an expert level.
Advanced GD&T: In-depth knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing to guarantee that programs satisfy crucial flying or medical-grade requirements.
Material science is the study of feeds and speeds for a variety of materials, including polymers, Inconel, and aerospace-grade titanium.
G-Code Fluency: The capacity to manually read and modify G-code "at the machine" in order to optimize a procedure.
