CNC Operator Producing Works of Art Out of Metal
Job Description
Operating and maintaining computer-controlled machinery to carry out high-precision mechanical tasks like cutting, drilling, milling, and grinding falls within the purview of the CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Operator. You play a crucial part in the production process by turning raw materials—such as wood, plastic, or metal—into completed parts that adhere to precise technical requirements. You will guarantee that the machinery operates as efficiently as possible while upholding strict respect to safety and quality regulations. The ideal applicant is a meticulous technician who can accurately interpret technical designs and has a solid grasp of machine mechanics.
Responsibilities
Machine Setup and Operation: Choose the appropriate tooling, load raw materials onto the machine, and start production cycles in accordance with pre-programmed instructions.
Blueprint Interpretation: To make sure the final product complies with the planned design, read and understand intricate engineering drawings and GD&T symbols.
Inspection: Conduct regular in-process part inspections using precision measurement
instruments.
Offset Adjustments: To maintain parts within predetermined tolerances, keep an eye on machine performance and make any required tool wear or job offset adjustments.
Maintenance: To avoid part flaws and machine damage, track tool life, spot worn-out or broken inserts, and replace them.
Troubleshooting: Help maintenance experts with intricate repairs; detect and report small technical issues or alarm codes.
Deburring: To guarantee that parts are prepared for production, carry out secondary procedures like deburring, cleaning, and simple surface finishing.
Skills:
Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of how to operate routers (controlled by Fanuc, Haas, or Siemens) or CNC mills and lathes.
Measurement Accuracy: Proficiency with height gauges, micrometers, and Vernier calipers.
Mathematical Proficiency: Fundamental knowledge of trigonometry and geometry for determining tolerances and dimensions.
Physical stamina: The capacity to lift objects weighing up to 20 kg and stand for extended periods of time.
We invite you to apply and explore this exciting opportunity!
