Build a profession in Machining Controls as a CNC Operator
Job Description
Duties:
Machine Setup & Operation: To create parts, load raw materials into CNC lathes or milling machines and run pre-programmed sequences.
Blueprint Interpretation: To comprehend part requirements, read and analyze engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) symbols.
Quality Inspection: To ensure that completed items fulfill the necessary tolerances, use precision measuring instruments including depth gauges, calipers, and micrometers.
Tooling Management: To guarantee that the machine keeps cutting precisely, keep an eye on tool wear and make manual tool changes or offset adjustments.
Routine Maintenance: To avoid malfunctions and prolong equipment life, clean,
lubricate, and check coolant levels every day.
Troubleshooting: During the run, find small mechanical or programming problems and either fix them or report them to the maintenance team.
Focus Skills:
Technical aptitude includes knowledge of general machine logic as well as G-code and M-code (basic reading and editing).
Mathematical Proficiency: The capacity to deal with both metric and imperial measurement systems and carry out simple computations.
Manual Dexterity: Consistent hands and physical endurance to manage tools and materials during a shift.
Paying close attention to details allows you to spot flaws that are not evident to the human eye.
