Job Description
Duties:
Product Inspection: Perform thorough physical examinations of completed goods (FQC), in-process assemblies (IPQC), and raw materials (Incoming QC).
Testing and Measurement: To confirm that components adhere to dimensional specifications, use precise tools like calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines.
Defect Identification: To avoid unintentional use, identify and separate non-conforming materials or goods, making sure they are identified and relocated to the "Red Bin" or quarantine area.
Blueprint Interpretation: Examine and decipher technical data sheets, GD&T symbols, and intricate engineering drawings.
Testing Documentation: For traceability and auditing purposes, keep thorough records of all test outcomes, inspection reports,
and "Pass/Fail" certificates.
Equipment Calibration: To maintain accurate and dependable findings, calibrate all testing and measuring apparatus on a regular basis.
Focus Skills:
Technical Measurement: Proficiency with both manual and digital metrology instruments (hardness testers, gauges, and calipers).
The ability to identify minute surface flaws, fissures, or dimensional variations that could impair a product's functioning
GD&T Knowledge: To discern engineering intent, a solid grasp of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing is required.
Problem Solving: The capacity to promptly identify the reasons behind a particular part's inspection failure and provide prompt remedial measures.
