Job Description
Focus: Stress the fundamental competencies of metal fabrication skills, expert shielded metal arc welding (SMAW or ARC) procedures, and rigorous attention to safety and quality standards in a manufacturing or fabrication setting headquartered in Chennai.
Experience: 0 to 2 yrs
What you’ll Do:
Set up and operate ARC welding equipment safely and efficiently, including selecting appropriate electrodes, adjusting amperage and voltage, considering the specific equipment used in our Chennai facility.
Maintain and troubleshoot ARC welding equipment, performing minor repairs and reporting significant issues to maintenance personnel in our Chennai plant.
Strictly adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area, complying with the safety
standards prevalent in Chennai's industrial environment.
Perform welding in various positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead) as required by the diverse projects undertaken in Chennai.
Ensure proper handling and storage of welding consumables and equipment according to safety guidelines in our Chennai operations.
What you need:
Proficiency in ARC welding techniques and procedures.
Strong ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and welding symbols commonly used in Chennai's industries.
Comprehensive knowledge of various welding materials (steel, aluminum, stainless steel, etc.) and their specific welding characteristics relevant to Chennai's manufacturing needs.
