Job Description
Responsibilities
Perform Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding on various metals (stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, etc.) according to blueprints, specifications, and welding procedures specific to our Chennai operations and quality standards.
Set up and operate TIG welding equipment, including selecting appropriate tungsten electrodes, shielding gases, and adjusting welding parameters with precision.
Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, welding symbols, and work orders accurately, understanding any specific project requirements in Chennai.
Ensure welds meet stringent quality standards, dimensional accuracy, and aesthetic requirements, conducting thorough visual inspections and using precision measuring
instruments.
Prepare metal surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and precisely aligning components to ensure optimal weld quality.
Skills
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and welding symbols with accuracy.
Thorough understanding of TIG welding equipment setup, operation, and maintenance.
Knowledge of different shielding gases and their applications in TIG welding.
Ability to perform high-quality welds that meet stringent visual and dimensional standards.
