Achieve a Quality Engineer to be the Quality Champ
Job Description
Designing and implementing strict quality standards throughout the manufacturing lifecycle is the responsibility of the quality engineer. "Preventative quality"—developing procedures and systems that guarantee goods are constructed correctly the first time—is the main emphasis of your work. To find possible sites of failure before they get to the shop floor, you will collaborate closely with the design and production teams. You will promote continuous improvement, reduce waste, and guarantee that every product leaving the facility satisfies both customer expectations and legal requirements by employing sophisticated statistical tools and lean approaches. The ideal applicant is a data-driven professional with a grasp of Six Sigma tools and a desire for operational improvement.
Responsibilities
Quality Planning: Create thorough Inspection Test Plans (ITP) for both new and current goods, as well as develop and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS).
Failure Mode Analysis: To reduce risks, conduct FMEA sessions during the design and process stages.
Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Use 8D, 5-Whys, or Fishbone analysis to guide cross-functional
teams in their investigation of quality escapes and the implementation of long-term corrective measures.
Supplier Quality Management: Oversee the Supplier Corrective Action Request procedure and carry out technical audits of suppliers.
Lean & Six Sigma: Use DMAIC techniques to find possibilities for process optimization and waste reduction.
Metrology & Calibration: Keep an eye on the precision measurement lab and make sure all gauges (GR&R) are capable and calibrated.
Compliance & Auditing: Conduct internal process audits and act as the main point of contact for external audits.
Skills:
Methodological expertise includes a thorough understanding of PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning).
Statistical Mastery: The ability to analyze data and test hypotheses using Minitab or JMP.
Engineering literacy is the capacity to decipher intricate engineering diagrams and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Soft Skills: Outstanding communication and leadership abilities to impact the organization's quality culture.
We invite you to apply and explore this exciting opportunity!
