Job Description
Duties:
Database Design & Modeling: Construct and manage physical and logical data models, making sure that appropriate normalization is applied to minimize redundancy and preserve data integrity.
Stored Procedure Development: To automate business logic at the database level, write and optimize intricate T-SQL or PL/SQL scripts, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
Performance tuning: By examining execution plans, refining sluggish queries, and optimizing indexes, you can find and fix performance bottlenecks.
ETL Procedures: Create and oversee Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) pipelines to move data into data warehouses or between systems.
Data security: To safeguard private data and adhere
to privacy laws, use data masking, encryption, and access limits.
Analytics and Reporting: Create materialized and complicated views to supply structured data for reporting dashboards and business intelligence (BI) applications.
Focus Skills:
SQL Mastery: Proficient in both procedural extensions (T-SQL, PL/SQL) and SQL (DDL, DML, DCL).
Indexing Strategies: In-depth understanding of columnstore, clustered, and non-clustered indexes.
Logic & Math: Strong analytical skills to translate complicated business needs into efficient relational logic.
Tools: Knowledge of Oracle SQL Developer, pgAdmin, or SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
