Performance tuning: To lower server load and latency, analyze and improve slow-running queries using Execution Plans and Index Tuning Wizards.
ETL & Data Integration: Use tools like SSIS, Talend, or Informatica to design and oversee ETL pipelines that transfer
and transform data between various systems.
Data Integrity & Security: To safeguard private information and guarantee referential integrity throughout the system, use encryption methods, keys, and constraints.
Reporting & Analytics: Convert raw data into useful business insights by creating and managing intricate reports with SSRS, Power BI, or Tableau.
Required Skills:
Expert-level proficiency in T-SQL (SQL Server), PL/SQL (Oracle), or PG/SQL (PostgreSQL) is required for query language mastery.
Expertise in SQL Profiler, Database Engine Tuning Advisor, and Execution Plan analysis are examples of optimization tools.
Architecture Knowledge: Thorough comprehension of NoSQL alternatives and Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).
Knowledge of the Star Schema and Snowflake Schema designs for analytical processing is necessary for data warehousing.
